Friends, I’d like to introduce you to my medical clinic, The Spring Center!

In 2008 I opened the doors to The Spring Center and today I’m excited to share our evolution  with you. Our mission at The Spring Center is to transform your health, no matter where you are in your health journey and to elevate your life!  We strive to provide the highest level of care for our patients by optimizing health, identifying the root cause of illness, and empowering people in all aspects of mind, body, and spirit. My staff and I help support those who just want to feel their best, as well as anyone experiencing troubling symptoms or illnesses.

Before I talk more about what we do at The Spring Center, I want to introduce you to the team that makes it all tick.

Matthew McGarvey is a Physician Assistant with nearly a decade of experience rooted in a holistic approach to medicine. His education and credentials are impressive, but what makes him such an asset to the team is his compassionate approach, mixed with a sharp mind. Matt gives every patient his utmost and teaches patients to be their own best advocates while learning that most of their healing comes from within.

Sarah Choszczyk, our Functional Nutritionist, has been with The Spring Center since its inception, supporting patients as our first medical assistant, serving the practice as our medical biller, and now offering nutrition services and helping me stay organized. In every step of Sarah’s journey she has committed herself to the mission of The Spring Center, lending her expertise and empathy in all of her roles.

Julie Walraven, RN, is an integral team member who is skillfully trained on administering our IV treatments. She brings calm, caring, compassionate nurturing to each and every patient she sees. Like me, Julie has her own experiences with mold toxicity and illness, and with her extensive medical experience, she brings a valuable approach to The Spring Center.

Natalie is The Spring Center’s Lead Medical Assistant, who always radiates calm and care to our patients. She has a thirst for knowledge and deep appreciation for functional medicine, and combines her love for science and medicine to assist patients daily on their health journey.

Alexa, our Front Office Coordinator, is a lifelong wellness advocate who understands the true meaning of mind-body medicine. She uses her quick mind and compassionate heart to teach and support those around her, making her an absolute asset to the team.

Casey is our New Patient Coordinator, working hard to inform and guide those who seek care at The Spring Center. Her deep understanding of our mission and the needs of our patients and community and her infectious enthusiasm make her a perfect match to shepherd our new members.

Brigid, The Spring Center’s Practice Director, has been with me for most of my life and I can’t imagine The Spring Center without her. Her business knowledge and dual focus on our patients and the daily running of a clinic have been a blessing to the entire team. She keeps me on task and supports the staff and patients with her whole heart.

I truly hope you have a chance to meet all of these wonderful people. I can’t tell you how fortunate I am to be surrounded by such a powerful team!

And teamwork is really at the heart of how The Spring Center operates. Together, we facilitate the innate ability to heal, encourage personal responsibility and autonomy for healing, and utilize science-based therapeutic interventions. Our team partners with our patients, their families, and our community on many aspects of functional and integrative medicine, including lifestyle choices, nutrition, prevention, genetics, biochemistry, environmental toxicants, anatomy and pathophysiology.  It is our vision to guide our patients and our community towards vibrant health and empowering living.

If you’re new to The Spring Center, here is what it looks like to get established:

  • Once the new patient process is complete, my medical team and I review your history and you meet with us to gather some important baseline information and to begin formulating your treatment plan.
  • We assess labs and treatments you’ve done with your other medical providers and build on what they have started, determine additional tests that are needed to fill in important gaps, as well as get started on fundamental treatment plans.
  • Once we receive test results and review them with you, your treatment plan gets adjusted, based on your unique needs.
  • After that, it all depends on your individual circumstances! Every patient has their own exclusive biology, story, and experience, which means no two treatment plans are alike.

Our goal is to help you achieve optimal health. We know that the body is an integrated system with a unique history, biochemistry, and genetics. We support the whole system – Body, Mind, and Spirit and recognize that everyone health journey is a unique and beautiful exploration.
